Spring into Change!
It's here, it's here! Spring is springing right before our eyes. Just like morning always follows nighttime, spring always follows winter, and I am all about it.
This week our local forecast has 4 days with highs in the fifties, and 2 in the forties, with only 1 thirties. Our snow is melting. We didn't have any snow until a that most recent nor'easter hit us with 16". But we didn't even mind, since we'd had very little snow all winter, and we usually have feet of it. It often doesn't melt until sometime in May, but this year, barring any spring blizzards, I think it'll be gone by the end of April. Maybe sooner.
Why Does Spring Feel So Good?
I think it's because its energy is fresh and new. Everything is starting over. We humans love that energy of starting over. No matter how last year went, this is a brand new beginning. The grass is starting over. The trees are starting over. The sky overhead is shifting to its new springtime pattern of stars and planets. The flowers and plants are all beginning again. Everything in nature is shifting. The hibernating animals are coming out of hibernation. Those who migrated south are returning. Those birds who wintered over, have started their spring repertoire, because even their songs change with the spring.

Can you feel it?
Today the day and night are equal, and every day hereafter, the days will be longer and the nights shorter. Energetically, light and all that abide in light, all that are made of light, are overtaking darkness and all that live there. Hope is overtaking fear. Love is overtaking hate. Good is overtaking evil.
I know it might not be obvious at first, but just like the plants deep in the earth aren't yet obvious above the surface. But they're stirring to life. They are feeling the energy shift. They are responding to warmth and sunlight, and they will emerge. We don't doubt that.
So we mustn't doubt that the light sides of humanity are also stirring. People are awakening. It bothers me that the word "woke" means something bad to some people. But it does make sense. Those who abide in darkness in a world made of light can't get by unless they keep their eyes closed. If they open them up, the light might get in. They might see love and kindness and acceptance in the light. It might pierce their self-imposed darkness and open their minds, and that is terrifying to them. I think mainly because it would mean change. It might also mean they release old beliefs that they hold sacred.
But hell, we are all wrong a lot of the time about a lot of things. We're supposed to grow and evolve and improve and do better. That's kind of the whole point of being here. Life itself is all about waking up. And spring is nature's embodiment of awakening.
In the northern hemisphere of earth, the planet is getting woke.
We all believe things are true that don't have to be true
We make them true by believing them. We have so many beliefs like that, we're not even aware of them all. We believe in certain things about our bodies and our health. We believe in whatever "diagnosis" we are given by men in white coats. We believe that getting older means inevitable physical decline. We believe you have to work very, very hard to get by in life, and even harder to get ahead. We believe the deck is stacked against us. We believe we have bad luck. We believe the economy's bad. We believe "God" is not only judging us, but trying to trip us up on purpose to "test" us.
One of the best things we can do to super-charge our spiritual growth is change the way we think about our most basic, most "real" beliefs and replace them with better beliefs. Because as soon as you change the belief, the reality shimmers into compliance with the new version.
This kind of new growth is beautifully supported by all existence, physical and non-physical alike, all the time. But in the spring of the year, nature's magic is in perfect synch with our new evolution. No time is better.
How we change belief is how we change reality
But we have to be real about it. We are humans. We are in physical form in a physical world, so our physical reality seems solid, unchangeable. We say things like "It is what it is," and practice acceptance of our plight.
Being at peace where we are is a very positive practice. And over time, we can become so centered and well-practice that we find good things, and maintain our positive attitude and optimism in whatever situation we find ourselves. We walk through hard times, but our joy never leaves us. We emerge from those times more evolved, wiser, kinder, more in tune with our higher selves than we were before the difficulty began. That's what problems are for. To inspire growth.
But if you never emerge, you don't get to the fun part.
Still, going from zero to 100 is difficult, unlikely, and not a very pleasant ride. We can't go from sick to well, from poor to rich, from lonely to basking in adoration all at once. We have to work on easier-to-change beliefs first. So we look to the things we think come with wellness and wealthy and love, and we start really pumping them up with our attention.
Here's some self-talk I might use to move more quickly through a time of illness, lack, or loneliness.
I'm not limited. I'm kind of unlimited, actually. Anything I want to do I can figure out a way to do. Any change I want to make, there's a way to make it. All I have to do, really, is believe that and live as if I believe that.
My body is regenerating every second, every micro-second! New cells every instant. Healthy new cells. Old cells are dying by the millions moment by moment. Useless and diseased cells are dying off.
Look at everything I can still do. Look at how good I am at finding joy and maintaining my high vibration even through this moment of difficulty. I can feel the healing. I know my treatments are working. I know new ideas are flowing to me at this very moment. I know I'm lining up with well-being, and so all the things I need are coming together for me. I am guided to the right path not by pain or discomfort. Not by fear or worry. I am guided by my good feelings, by my hope, by my certainty that my healing is inevitable, which means I am guided by my higher self.
My higher self is still non-physical, and she is huge and wide and can see every path and every element and all things in existence. She IS all things in existence. Everything that is, is just another beam of Her, experiencing physical reality in one form or another. She is gently calling me to all that I desire. Her call takes the form of good feelings, drawing me toward all I need to heal.
I have abundance in so many ways. I have a roof over my head. I have enough to eat. I have a warm bed. I have friends. I have time. I have books, I have such an abundance of books. I have a lawn with millions upon millions of blades of grass. I have fifty favorite television shows. I have 100 story ideas at a time swirling around in my head. I have a thousand songs on my phone, and even more photos. I have 13 grandchildren who adore me! I have five daughters who love me to the moon and back. Even my sons-in-law love me! Talk about love. I have no need to feel lonely, ever. Even if they were all far away, and even if I were physically alone, I am not lonely. I am loved.
I am loved most of all by my higher self, who is like my soul's mother. From her I emerged. A small beam of her came into this body to experience life, and that is me. That is me. I grew my personality as I grew my body, and here I am, goddess incarnate, and that goddess from whom I sprang loves me with the purest form of love, the wellspring of love that is the source of all love. I am her creation. She poured her spirit into my body that she might live and she breathed life into its lungs, all with my first breath. That is love.
It's Spring. Change focus.
Through shifting our focus from the lack of what we desire, to the presence of what we desire already in our lives, even in tiny bits, we can change our belief in our illness to a belief in our healing and our inevitable and complete wellness. We can shift a belief in lack, to an awareness of our expansive abundance. We can shift a belief in loneliness to an awareness of the love that is flowing to us with more power than Niagara Falls, all the time, no matter what.
Don't force things. Relax and believe and look for signs of improvement and look for the blessings you already have, and just allow more to flow. Don't strive. Relax and believe and do the things your heart most feels like doing, and bask in the abundance you already have, and just allow more to flow. Don't overcome. Float with the current. The endless, powerful current of love will carry you, if you'll just stop paddling so hard upstream.
Breathe. Quiet your mind. Sit outside, or near an open window and listen to the springtime chorus of birds. Bask in the sunshine. Position yourself in sunny windows and soak it up. Listen to music you love and eat foods you love and feel good about eatings, and talk to people you enjoy being around, who make you feel good, about topics and subjects that excite and uplift you.
Notice hints of your fondest wish all around you. Notice it in miniature. Notice some of its components. Notice the things that are so much like it. Notice the things that make you feel the way it will feel. And gently shift your focus from belief that it isn't here yet, to belief that it is...and then, oh! There is it!
What beliefs will you change?
Think about what you wish you had in your life that you don't currently have.
Then think about what belief you hold way down deep that might be holding it away from you.
Somewhere, you believe more in the "reality" of not having this thing, than in the inevitability of having it. But today's reality is a moment. It can change as quickly as you can change your mind.
So look for those goals that haven't manifested. Spring is the time to really root out those old beliefs that are keeping them at bay, and get busy training your brain to think differently.
