I don’t know about you, but I’ve been feeling like a little money magic is in order. Why? Cause it’s been in short supply and things are costing more.
And right there you have the reason I am not beginning my work in the right state of mind. I’m more aware of money’s lack than of its presence. So my attention to this topic itself might be vibing more with not having it than having plenty.
We need to shift that vibration.
Sometimes, our attitude toward the topic of money is sticky. It’s hard to get it to move. But before we start doing magic, we need to try to gently shift our vibe.
It might be easiest to shift the vibe toward another topic entirely, a topic where there is plenty. I might think about my novels, for example. I’ve written 115 of them. Never used AI in my life, either. Now that’s abundance! I have an abundance of stories in me, still. I have so many stories in me, I won’t live long enough to tell them all. I have soooo many!
That was a little rant, wasn’t it? That’s how we do it. We start talking about something we have in abundance and work ourselves up into a little rant. What do you have an abundance of? Can you work yourself up about it? Write your rant or speak it aloud, don’t just think it.
I live in the most beautiful place. I love it here! The rolling hills, the woods and meadows, the sunrises and sunsets. It’s so pretty. There’s more natural beauty around me than I can even take in, sometimes. Especially in autumn, when there’s so much beauty it’s overwhelming. I take a thousand photos and none can capture being in it, being surrounded by it and a part of it.
I love my house. It gives me shelter. It hugs me like a mother, I make it pretty and cozy and warm. We do things ourselves and rarely hire anyone to fix anything. My hubs is so handy. Oh, that’s one. He is so good at so many things, my guy. If this were a zombie apocalypse, he’s the guy I’d want by my side.
He’s a fucking McGuyver, I tell you. (Handsome, too.)
I am so blessed to live in this old farmhouse with this guy. And I get to work from home, and that means I have an abundance of time here in my precious space.
I am SO EFFING HEALTHY! I have an abundance of good health! I have taken enormous control over my health, too, and I love the continual fine-tuning of my lifestyle for maximum thriving. I appreciate getting off track every once in a while, and feeling like shit afterward, so I can see for sure how much good my usual practices do me.
All right, all right. What do you have a lot of? As you can see from my positivity rants, you need to think outside the box.
You know what many of us have a lot of? Beautiful spring days ahead, in the northern hemisphere. And then summer ones. Where I live, we have 60s in the forecast, like four days in a row next week!
And those below the Equator have autumn moving in. The best season of all!
Do what I just did. Write it out, journal it. It really does raise your vibe. But you have to be genuine. You have to pick things you really love in your life, you can’t fake this. And then write about them in the way I did here.
This should be done right before any money spell. AND even sooner, right before you start creating the spell, too. The energy you put into every part of spell making has to be a high vibing, happy, celebration sort of energy. M’kay?
Remember that and use it going forward for whatever kind of spell you’re working.
Mix and Match Guide to Spell Creation
In traditional magic, the old fashioned kind, spells are very simple. They have steps.
State the goal clearly and simply.
(sometimes 3) Begin the spell doing whatever action you’ve decided upon.
(sometimes 2) Raise the energy
Release the energy.
Ground yourself.
Step 1: State the goal
It needn’t be complicated. In fact the simpler the better. Think about what you want AND why you want it. Instead of thinking of an amount, think of what it is you expect that extra money to buy you. And what feeling that will give you.
A lot of the time the ultimate goal behind wishing for more money comes down to wishing for freedom. Freedom from debt, freedom to pursue one’s passions, freedom to spend your time as you wish, etc.
Try to break your goal down. Sometimes it feels better to me to be a little more specific. Still, I’m not going to say the word “money.” If I didn’t have resistance to money, I’d have money. You see? However, I’ll often use words like, “open the taps, increase the flow.”
Even more often, I use the words from a poem to Inanna by one of her priestesses.
“Pour it out for me, Inanna. I will drink all you offer.” And I imagine vessels pouring sparkling waters of abundance down upon me.
Money is just energy. It’s not real. We can tune it in. Let’s play try it out, why not?
Step 2: The Action of the Spell
First, you have to decide what sort of spell you want. And this is where you start matching the vibes.
Money is a very earthy energy, so spells using crystals and herbs would be harmonious.
Step 3: Raise the Energy
We do this by chanting, or dancing, or drumming. Anything rhythmic. We increase the pace, volume, tempo, urgency until the energy peaks.
Step 4: Release the Energy
Try to relax your body, mind, spirit all at once as you use your hands to guide the rush of energy from your body into the spell.
Step 5: Ground Yourself
Literally sit on the ground, or hold a rock and let the energy drain. Then get a grain-based snack.
Spell Ingredients
Money Herbs & Oils: Alfalfa, basil cinnamon, cloves, clover, goldenrod, honeysuckle, jasmine, maple, mint, mugwort, patchouli, pine, poplar, vervain.
Money Crystals and Stones: Bloodstone, calcite, coal, emerald, jade, mother of pearl, opal, pearl, ruby, sale, sapphire, tiger’s eye, topaz, green tourmaline.
Money Colors: The color of your nation’s currency, silver, green, and gold.
Money Animals: frog, goat, snake, cat, rabbit, fish. (Also dragons.)
Money direction: North
Money element: Earth
Magical Timing: New to full moon. Midnight.
Money Spells
A simple herbal money spell
A small charcoal disc
Any of the money herbs, dried
A fire-safe bowl
Lighter
A pre-chosen, rhyming couplet that states your goal and lends itself to rhythm and repetition
First write the chant. Here’s one I wrote that almost fits nicely in a sea-faring shanty sort of a tune. Singing it works too.
Crank the taps and open the flow Abundance energy to grow Crank the taps and open the flow And pour it out for me!
Step 1. Put the herbs into your cauldron or fire-safe bowl.
Step 2: Hold your hands over them to charge them with your intent, speaking the chant aloud once, in that special tone you only use for magic
We call this the magical voice. Yours will come to you naturally as you practice. Relax about it and don’t force it. You know how your voice changes slightly, depending on who you’re talking to? It’s like that.
Step 3. Raise the energy! Repeat the chant over and over, one or both hands over the cauldron, pushing your will into the herbs. Then begin to move around the room, repeating the chant again and again. You can drum with this, you can rattle with this, you can clap with this. With each repetition your chant becomes faster and louder until you sense the energy is peaking.
Step 4. Dance with peaked energy back to the cauldron, hands over it, light the herbs and watch them burn, as you feel the energy flow from your palms into the flames, transforming your will and carrying it forth.
Step 5. Sit on the ground. Relax. Let go of all the energy you raised. Feel it draining into the earth
It is done.
The Silver Moon and Mirror Money Spell
A silver bowl
An athame or dagger not used for any other purpose
A mirror
Some moon water (holy water, blessed water, call it what you will.)
3 coins, one silver, one gold, the third can be either.
Now all of these items need to be prepared by you first, cleansed of any negative vibes and dedicated to magic. They must never be used for any other purpose. In addition you can rinse the mirror in a mugwort tea to empower it.
Set all the items up outside or in a window where you have a view of the full moon. Scout your location the night before. It’ll be slightly later the next night, but pretty close.
Pour the blessed water into the silver bowl.
Hold the silver bowl up to the moon, and visualize the moon’s silver beams charging it with magic.
Set the bowl down, and pick up the athame, and hold it up to the moon, the flip it point down and lower it slowly into the silver bowl until the tip touches the bottom, exploding the energy of the wild god into the water to fertilize the goddess energy already there.
Remove, wipe the blade, set it down.
Next, drop your three coins into the water, repeating this this charm TWICE for EACH coin.
Silver brings silver. Silver brings silver. (When you drop each silver coins)
Gold brings gold. Gold brings Gold. (When you drop the gold coins.)
Next, hold the mirror so that it reflects the moonlight into the water. And if it’s too awkward or the angle is wrong, just place the silver water in a manner that lets the moonlight reflect in its surface. Either way works.
While the moonlight is in the water, say these lines.
Silver to silver and gold to gold. The flow of my wealth is increased manyfold. The flow of my wealth is increased manyfold. Silver to silver and gold to gold.
Next, bottle up the water, with the coins in the bottom of the bottle and keep it in a dark place.
Each morning and night day, sprinkle a little bit on your pulse points and behind your ears like you would perfume.
You can use the water anytime you do any spell to increase the money flow.
The Dragon’s Hoard
They often have small semi-precious stones with animals carved into them on sale at new age shops. If you can, get a stone that is green or brown (or one of the money stones listed above) that also has a dragon carved into it. Or really just any dragon will do. OR a Chinese money frog also works well here.
Remember to do a cleanse on any items used in the spell.
So you’re going to need
A bunch of coins,
A dragon,
A magnet or lodestone,
A plate or something to hold them.
Take the lodestone, and pluck a hair from your head. Wrap it around the magnet. As you wrap say, To me, to me, to me.”=
Place the magnet on the plate.
Heap the coins atop the magnet.
Place the dragon atop the pile of coins.
Hands over the whole thing, say,
Silver to silver and gold to gold. The flow of my wealth is increased manyfold. The flow of my wealth is increased manyfold. Silver to silver and gold to gold.
Leave this spell in the northernmost window of your home.
Money Charm Bag
Place 7 coins in a drawstring bag with violet petals and clover. Place it in your purse or even your mailbox, or near your computer—wherever money might arrive in your awareness.
Growing Money
Place three coins and an acorn in the bottom of a flower pot.
Then plant it with some money friendly plants like basil, clover, or mint. As the plant grows, so will your wealth.
You can expand this spell to your garden, and drop a coin into each of the holes where you plant your veggies or flowers as spring unfurls.
The Check and the Wish Box
Write yourself a check for the amount of money you desire, and sign it, “The Universe.” Put a date on it too. Be brave. You should create a check, not use one of your own.
Put the check into an envelope addressed to YOU by name at your address. You can even put a stamp on it. Then put this into a special box. I always have a special box for wishes. I put things in there, and just leave the rest up to the universe.
So write yourself that check, seal it, address it, stamp it, and put it in your wish box.
Things to Remember
Remember these tips.
You aren’t creating money out of thin air. You’re just tuning in to the massive amounts of it that are already floating around out there. You’re just opening up avenues for it to flow to you.
Money is not the root of all evil. The love of money is what is said to be the root of all evil. We don’t want it to love it, we want for the freedom and peace of mind it can buy us. Those are the goals, not the money itself.
One of the keys to getting more wealth is being okay without it, so we have find contentment and joy and love right where we are first—and those conditions will in turn attract more like them.
Celebrate every little thing that works. And remember what we are really changing is ourselves. We’re adjusting our own vibration, changing from someone who feels poor to someone who feels wealthy, and therefore attracts abundance.
Last week I got a check for sixty bucks in some kind of settlement I didn’t even know was happening. I used it to pay a tiny bill, and had ten bucks leftover. Also, hubs’ work changed payrolls last week, and they stopped taking out for his lunch hour. Ka-ching!
Those might be little things, but they show me that the energy is flowing in the right direction, and that my efforts to adjust my vibration to match with a greater flow of wealth is working.
One more thing
The moon’s waning now. The new moon will be new and in Pisces on March 18th, and waxing (growing) from then the full moon in Libra on April 1st. Any of those times would be great for working these spells.
Sometimes we can make spells that begin on the new moon, get a boost at the half, and then culminate at the full moon.
