It’s the day before the US elections, dear readers, and everyone’s a nervous wreck, because there’s so much at stake. So I thought a good way to help us all through this tense period, would be a quick lesson on how reality becomes real.
When you believe something is coming so completely that you begin making plans for it ahead of time, you begin celebrating it ahead of time, you begin appreciating it ahead of time, you lend your energy to its manifestation.
What we’re really doing when we celebrate in advance, is tuning our vibration to the wavelength of the thing we desire. We’re tuning it in, attuning ourselves to it, and so it must shimmer into existence in our experience of reality.
If enough of us achieve this vibration, the balance will shift for all.
How to short-circuit the process
The only way we can trip ourselves up is by adjusting our vibration to the wavelength of the absence of our desire. If we vibrate at that level, then all we can experience in our lived reality must match that vibration. The vibration of not having what we want.
We achieve that vibration by worrying, fearing, planning for, and being angry about the outcome we do not want. So we have to avoid those mindsets, or we’ll block our own desire from coming to pass.
Fear is always the loser.
Joy is always the winner.
It’s just how the Universe works.
The next logical step
The time when big things manifest (like the first female US president,) is the time when they become the next logical step. If you’re in a speeding car, and you want to change directions, you have to slow down first. Then you turn around. Then you build speed again. To change direction in one single step would cause the car to roll and that would be extremely rough on the passenger.
To me, Kamala Harris is the next logical step for the US. We’ve evolved in the right direction. We’ve moved from women not being able to own property or vote, to a woman entering the most powerful office on earth. We’ve moved from bans on interracial marriages to recognizing gay marriages. We’ve moved from an everything-disposable culture to a “reduce, reuse, recycle” culture. Everything is going forward, not backward. But the upward line on the graph is a jagged line. There are apparent setbacks—like Dobbs—but the larger trajectory is still going up. Evolution only works in one direction.
The worse it is, the better it gets
Remember that humans fear change and cling to what we know. Things have to get really bad before enough of us let go of what is, and take that scary leap into the unknown future. It’s like dying for some, releasing the status quo and embracing the new and untried. So it has to get really uncomfortable where we are before we’ll finally take the leap.
Think of it like being in a burning building, on the tenth floor. You aren’t going to jump from the window until the flames are literally burning your backside, or the smoke is choking you. Only then will you jump away from the fire. And lo and behold, you land on a big inflatable mattress and everything is fine. And you look around and notice things are way better out here than they were in there, even before the fire. But it took the fire to get you to change.
The longer it takes you to change, the worse the pain of not changing becomes. And also the worse it has to get, the further you’ll leap, and the better it will be on the other side.
The Goddess is Rising
As women, we are impatient for change that seems to be taking far too long. But each time we evolve and gain more rights for ourselves, our sisters, and our daughters, we immediately shift our focus to the next goal, and the next. We are never static.
We are at the point now of realizing, that we’ve always had the power. We are the life-bearers, the wise ones, the healers, the mediators, the consensus builders, the organizers. We are living goddesses. That truth has been kept from us as we have become more and more ready to receive it, to recognize it, to live it.
Like Dorothy in Oz, we did not recognize that we had the power all along. But we’re recognizing it now.
The veils have fallen from our perception one by one with each victory and each triumph. The more rights we re-claim, the more clearly we can see how many more have been withheld. And the more power we re-claim, the clearer it becomes that we’re the ones in charge. All we have to do is step up and claim our rightful place.
Women are goddesses incarnate. Only we can bring forth life, and only we get to decide when and how and whether we do so. Pity the fool who tries to say otherwise. We are all-powerful. None can stand against us. None ever could, not truly.
Women are claiming our rightful places in the halls of power, our rightful equality with our brothers, and superiority over our persecutors.
From that elevated position we will help our sisters rise up, too, all over the world. And that means all our sisters—all who bear the soul of woman.
Change is here
I know it feels slow. We want to see it all happen in the short span of our human lifetimes. But change is here now, and it’s been here all along. Change is a continuous unfolding. It’s constant. It never stops. It’s always in progress, and it’s always improving.
So take a deep breath…
And turn your attention to how great it’s going to be when the results come in. Never mind worrying about court cases or protests. Just focus on the result you want. Imagine yourself dancing in the streets.
Put on your girl-power playlist, and embrace your inner goddess. Dance your candidate right into the Oval Office.
Celebrate ahead of time. Give thanks in advance.
The gloom and doom and fear and worry alternatives all amount to complaining in advance. I feel the Goddess is unimpressed by that.
