How to feel better
First, I apologize for not posting sooner. Like the rest of you, I’ve been reeling since the events of last weekend in Charlottesville. I’ve started several posts and deleted them. I couldn’t post until I had something to say that was helpful.
But I couldn’t seem to find anything that was helping ME.
Then Boston Happened. 40,000 peaceful lovers came out in response to 100 haters.
And then I read about a hate rally in Tennessee where the hate groups were met by clowns. Here’s what happened there as told by Neotarama.com.
“White Power!” the Nazi’s shouted.
“White Flour?” the clowns yelled back running in circles throwing flour in the air and raising separate letters which spelt “White Flour”.
“White Power!” the Nazi’s angrily shouted once more.
“White flowers?” the clowns cheered and threw white flowers in the air and danced about merrily.
“White Power!” the Nazi’s tried once again in a doomed and somewhat funny attempt to clarify their message.
“Ohhhhhh!” the clowns yelled “Tight Shower!” and held a solar shower in the air and all tried to crowd under to get clean as per the Klan’s directions.
One last time they screamed “White Power!”
The clown women thought they finally understood what the Klan was trying to say. “Ohhhhh…” the women clowns said. “Now we understand…”, “WIFE POWER!” they lifted the letters up in the air, grabbed the nearest male clowns and lifted them in their arms and ran about merrily chanting “WIFE POWER! WIFE POWER! WIFE POWER!”
I felt great healing after this. I also felt soothed by reading accounts of former hate group members who talk about how it was an act of kindness by a person they thought they hated that turned them around and made them realize they were wrong.
These are broken, bleeding, damaged people who must be in excruciating pain by being so completely cut off from their own souls. That doesn’t by any stretch excuse the pain they’ve caused, and their suffering certainly is not the point here. It’s just a realization for me personally that, bad as they are, they’re also humans and they can change.
So this image touched me too, re-touched of course, but accurate if we looked back on these men from some future point. Most won’t end their lives still hating, and those who do will wake from that delusion at the very instant of their passing.
How to find peace again
I’ve been struggling this week. But the above things helped. What’s helping even more is a new Facebook Group called RAISE THE VIBE. There, members are posting positive thoughts, images, quotes, memes and news stories everyday.
I’ve been trying to do this on my own page too.
Being a part of the effort to raise the country’s vibration, raises our own vibration as well.
The Eclipse and its Meaning
To the Navajo, this eclipse is a time of rebirth, and of cleansing. Most astrologers believe eclipses reveal hidden things that need to be exposed. I can see both of these things happening. As awful as it was, the Charlottesville riots put a spotlight on something many of us needed to see to believe. It’s time to move past the awfulness to the healing it has inspired.
I'll leave you with this...
I hope you feel a little bit better now. We must shift our focus on the solution we want (love,) not the problem we see (hate.) Move forward in love. Love everyone a little bit more. Be kinder to everyone you meet. We’re all in this together.
Until next time,
Maggie
